Last December (2025) Source by OURCE organized Nobokiron at KKF with a goal to give the youth a taste of emerging market trends. Given country’s large population, after RMG the next big opportunity for Bangladesh may lie in Robotics design and assembly.
We started with underprivileged children, some who were from marginalized communities (children from parents involved in sex work) — a demography who lacked the foundations needed for robotics or any advance STEM related field. To make things reasonable instead of building on the foundations which would’ve been a far fetch for our three days long workshop, we taught them how to assemble robots. We were humbled from our initial goal of teaching them robotics and had to pivot to teaching them assembling as it was less punishing on them and helped build confidence in them.
In our three days workshop, the first day was on basic circuitry and electricity. Second and third days were spent on putting together the LFR (Line Follower Robot) and decorating it. We were able to ensure a balance between theory and playtime with STEM.
